On May 12th, I was proud to serve as a featured panelist at the NYC Regional event as part of the US Department of Labor/White House Summit on Working Families.
It was a great event, featuring Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, NYC Mayor Bill DiBlasio, Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, four members of NY’s Congressional delegation, work-family advocates who successfully lobbied for paid parental leave in three states and for paid sick days in many jurisdictions, entrepreneurs, executives of progressive companies, and me. Here are some photos from the day.
I’ll write up some of my impressions from the event later this week. You can also go to twitter using the #workingfamilies hashtag to read the live tweets from me and many others during the event
